Luann Robinson Hull

Luann Robinson Hull is a cutting-edge leader in the field of human development. By blending neuroscience, spirituality, and positive psychology, she has created a unique approach to support her clients in overcoming both emotional and mental challenges. She is the author of an award winning book called, Happily Ever After...Right Now and the highly anticipated follow up book called Self-Belonging to be published in 2019.

With a Masters in Clinical Social work and expertise as a clinician, consultant, and speaker, Luann launched her career using the Strengths Perspective for her first practice model. This modality focuses on clients’ abilities, talents, and strengths, a radically different angle from the pathology method typically applied in western medicine. Fortified with promising results, she went on to broaden her scope by pursuing a Doctoral in Ministry degree. While in the program, she was trained by spiritual leaders such as Matthew Fox and Andrew Harvey in the use of spiritual interventions to promote mental health and well-being.

Luann is the co-founder of the Conscious Global Leadership Conference, launched at the Aspen Institute in 2010, and has taught extensively in various workshop settings to share her research findings, including two trainings for doctoral candidates from the Watson Caring Science Institute, a branch of the University of Colorado Nursing School. After graduating from her doctoral program she morphed her dissertation project into a two-time award-winning book. Happily Ever After Right Now was runner-up in the Spiritual Category—New York Book Festival, June 2011, and winner in the Spiritual Category, New England Book Festival, January 2012. The book cracks the code to relationship challenges and helps readers unravel challenging patterns that interrupt their potential for happiness and healthy relationships.

Luann second book, Self-Belonging, will be published in 2019. In her new book, Luann explores dependency in relationships, analyzing it through a neuroscience and conditioning lens while maintaining a spiritual focus. Belonging shows readers how to connect with the authentic self while building joyful relationships and merging into highest destiny.

She is a former finalist for the “Oprah Winfrey Show” for a piece entitled “Why Your Life Is Better Now Than It Was Ten Years Ago.” Luann treasures time with family and friends and loves living in Colorado, where she is often seen hiking alone as she ponders life in nature, inspired by her favorite philosopher, Henry David Thoreau, who once said, “Oh that we could be more like nature rather than being thrown off by every nutshell and mosquito wing.”

While her passions and interests are varied, each shares a common thread: Whether the focus is philosophy, spirituality, neuroscience, neuroplasticity, positive psychology, art, music, fine cuisine, travel, yoga, or hiking in nature (her favorite activity) she is almost always in a state of curiosity on how we can move beyond the origin of our insecurity as a species into our ultimate thriving range where we can merge with the authentic self and our most optimal destiny. For more information on Luann’s latest research on optimizing human potential, be sure to watch for her latest book, Self-Belonging, due to be published in 2019.
